I oh-so-brilliantly dropped my razor in the shower today right when I pulled the hair catcher from the drain, and the razor head split from the body, and it all was comically timed so that the blades went right down the drain.

Aiyah.

So now I have to figure out what to do to get the damn thing back out. Gum on the end of a flexible stick? I don't even know.

Maybe try tweezers or kitchen tongs first?

Gum could come back pretty gross. Though, to be fair, my first thought was magnet and then I was like "... or the pipe is metal, too" so....

Seems like yesterday was the day for dropsies. My wife dropped her phone in the toilet at work.

Urrrgh that'd be great, but there's a 90-degree bend in the pipe almost immediately, and then at least six inches of distance afterward. I need something flexible to be able to get back there, because I've poked it past the point of no return already. And probably the water flushed it back too! I'm just hoping the pipe went UP after that and not DOWN...

Oh no! I've dropped my phone in the toilet and it's the worst. Because you just gotta get it. There's no two ways about it, haha.

I know, I'm like, maybe there's some other double-sided sticky stuff at the hardware store? I feel like there is, for wall mounting. (Gum's gross, it's true.)

Oh dear, maybe one of those drain cleaners with a hook or sticky tape might work?

That's kind of what I'm thinking--I have the hook-like one but it won't catch on the blades, so I wanted to attach something sticky to it. But the pipe has to be dry first, wauughh.

Yeah I still haven't tried it, haha.

Maybe a vacuum cleaner can help? But gross stuff will most likely come out with it...

If you have one, the metal type tape measure may be useful too!

A vacuum cleaner! Oh wow that's a smart idea! It's okay if the gross stuff comes out too--whatever can come out can come out, I'm fine with that, so long as I get the blades.

Of course I just took a shower so now I need to wait for things to dry again.
